The students undertaking the Gold Practice D of E were amazing under some extremely challenging conditions including 48 hours of continuous rain leading them all to consider their life choices on a bleak Wednesday evening whilst sat outside their tents cooking dinner.

Fortunately the sun made a brief visit on Thursday allowing groups to test out their mountain legs at the dizzy heights of 700m taking in some amazing views and drying out some very wet kit. The ground continued to make it a challenging expedition with a few students getting stuck in some boggy ground.

The final evening saw the expedition camp at a less wet and soggy remote site. The view and clear skies worked as a welcome memory block of the bleak 2 days that they had endured previously.
